Dumbwaiter Elevator

A dumbwaiter is simply a small box that travels vertically between two or three floors in a building. It is encased in a shaft, and has one or more doors on each floor for access. A dumwaiter can be used to haul virtually anything, groceries from garage to kitchen, firewood from basement to living room, or laundry from a first floor utility room to a second floor bedroom.
